Linkform Design aimed to create a seafood restaurant that truly embodies the liveliness of the ocean. The entire interior is designed to mimic the flow of waves, with materials and methods carefully chosen to convey the concept of both western and eastern cultures. The result is a fusion of styles that perfectly complements the restaurant's creative seafood cuisine.
The design features customized decorative light fixtures mounted on the ceiling, showcasing the continuity and projection of waves. These lights enhance the dynamic feel of the space, creating a sense of movement and energy. The bar's interior is a collaboration with a well-known Taiwanese tattoo artist, who finished the Japanese geisha graphic, adding an oriental touch to the overall design.
Spanning over 4,520 square feet, the Aplus Seafood Bar and Restaurant is located in the heart of Taipei. The design team, led by Design Director Kung-Chao Huang and designers Jo-Tzu Huang and Tzu-Ying Huang, worked on the project from February to June 2018.
The main challenge of the design was to accommodate both small and large crowds while maintaining the integrity of the space. To address this, the bar was strategically placed in the middle, allowing for easy access and efficient service.
The Aplus Seafood Bar and Restaurant has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award celebrates designs that showcase creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.
Step into Aplus and immerse yourself in an ocean-inspired dining experience. With its unique blend of western and eastern influences, this seafood bar and restaurant offers a fresh and contemporary atmosphere that will leave a lasting impression.
